What does this part do on a VW?
This MOONEYES metal flake ball gear shift knob replaces the standard gear lever knob, giving your Volkswagen a classic American hot rod and Cal-Look appearance while providing a comfortable, positive grip during gear changes. The 2 inch diameter ball design has been a custom favourite for decades and is equally at home on restored, modified and period-style air-cooled Volkswagens.
Manufactured from durable clear resin with a green metal flake finish, this universal shift knob is supplied with adaptor sleeves and grub screws for secure installation on a wide range of manual gear levers. It is suitable for most manual transmission vehicles but is not compatible with automatic gear selectors or gear levers incorporating an overdrive or shift release button.
